The Farmers Union Restaurant is located in the San Pedro Square. The area kinda reminds me of the Distillery District in Toronto, Canada. The restaurant was nice, no fancy decor some what modern farmhouse. They have little cabana tables as well as huge bar in the center. Now for the staff our waiter Mike was great. He was so nice and very attentive. I had the Prime Peppered NY Strip it came with heirloom carrots, brocolini and purple mashed potatoes. Everything on this plate was absolutely delish, I will be dreaming of that steak forever. Out of all the steaks I've had at other places this one by far has been the best. This plate was part of the Valentine's Day Specials. My hubby got the Combo BBQ plate that had Brisket, Ribs, and Chicken. It came with two sides and some tasty jalapeno cornbread. Compared to some of the brisket I've had at other places it wasn't the best I've had. My hubby said the ribs were tender. The chicken was ok. The two sides he got were the collard greens and potato salad. I wasn't too impressed with the potato salad. But then again it wasn't your normal creamy style. My friend tried the collards and she seemed to like them a little. She seems to think they added some sugar to them for a nice flavor. I would definitely go back and would recommend this place. The food was hot and fresh.
