If your looking for a nice place to take a break and taste wine, check out Pt. Reyes Vineyard. This small local vineyard is just 2 miles north of the small town of Pt. Reyes. Their sparkilng wine is quite tasty. They make a Chardonnay sparkling and a Pinot sparkling wine. The Chardonnay Sparkling is a 10yr bottled wine, its light and crisp. The Pinot sparkling and the Pinot Noir are made from the same grapes but they saved a few of the grapes from being made into the sparkling to create this Pinot that had a nice full flavor. The Cabernet was nice with hints of black cherry. The Syrah was a bit refreshing and a little sweet which was a bit surprising to me. But my favorite of the tasting was the Dessert Viognier with its hints of honey, it was sweet and crisp with a nice golden color. I really enjoyed visiting this vineyard, the owners who run it are wonderful and friendly. The tasting room is really nice along with their patio area with a nice fountain and view of their vines. There is also a Bed and Breakfadt there on site, which I found pretty cool. I mean who wouldn't want to stay on a vineyard. I didn't get to see the B&B itself, but judging by the tasting room and surrounding area it seems to be well worth it for a quiet getaway.
