Mt. Diablo

Looking for a new place to explore? If you haven't been to Mt. Diablo this is a place worth checking out. Just a short trip out of SF Bay Area, not far from Walnut Creek. Mt. Diablo is a beautiful place. They have so many trails, campgrounds, and picnic spots. If you have dogs it is dog friendly, but all dogs must be on leash and picked up after, since it is a state park. If your an avid bicyclist and looking for a challenge this will definitely be one. Just remember when visiting the park be aware of hikers and bikers along the way to the summit outlook. The view from the top is amazing. You have pretty much a 360° view of the Bay Area to the Delta. I heard on really clear days you can see Mt. Hamilton and Mt. Tamalpais. The visitor center was closed due to the COVID-19, so I missed out on the gift shop. I definitely plan on going back to explore and learn more about the park. Today the weather was perfect, sunny with a cool breeze. I do recommend checking this place out and exploring around.
