If you are looking for someplace to visit, Hakone Estate and Gardens is a nice little stop. Hidden in the hills of Saratoga, CA. Here you will find a little gem that is a historical national treasure of Japanese culture. The 15 acres the estate and gardens are built on is filled with amazing architecture and landscaping. Many traditional houses, shrines, gardens, and statues. Walking thru the garden you can feel the serene tranquility it gives. Currently due to the COVID-19 regulations only part of the estate is open. When it is fully functioning you can enjoy having tea. Hakone Estate and Gardens is also available for private events. Expect some light stair climbing and uneven ground while wandering the gardens. Make sur when visiting to purchase some fish food to feed the Koi fish at the Koi pond. Entry is reasonable only $10 for adults and $8 for senior.
