Coastal drives are one of my favorites. Although I didn't get to visit the Pt. Reyes Lighthouse (I forgot it would be closed for the holiday) I did travel back to the shipwreck in Inverness as well getting to see more backroads. Driving up the coast is a beautiful scenic ride. There are lots of trails, beaches and little towns to visit like Stinson Beach, Bolinas, Pt. Reyes and Inverness. Some so small if you blink they are gone. But those small towns hide wonderful little shops, deli's, cafes, wineries and places to stay. If you want a little adventure take a drive up the coast along Hwy 1.
