Looking for some nice places to visit or hike in the Bay Area? Interested in exploring some of the Bay Area's history or just wanting to reconnect with nature?

Take a drive over to Marin Headlands. Did you know about Point Bonitas Lighthouse? One of the many lighthouses on the coast that helps guide sailors and boaters to the entrance to our Bay. Sadly the Lighthouse was closed to visitors due Covid-19. It has an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge, while hiking down to the lighthouse you will see remnants of wild cabbage still around from when the area was a big cabbage growing area. You will also see the coast's history of Basalt beds that make up some of the cliffsides.

Did you know about the Marine Mammal Center? Where you can visit the rehabilitation center for sea lions and other ocean mammals.

How about Fort Baker? Where the scenery is amazing with a small yacht club and marina. This small presidio has so much history and is home to a US Coast Guard station.

Fort Baker is also home to the Bay Area Discovery Museum where families can have lots of fun learning cool things. These are all really cool an wonderful places to explore.

There is even a Nike Missile site and lots of old bunkers. As well as Fort Cronkite. All these places are just a few minutes from Sausalito where you can find some nice places to eat or have drink.
